Several of the recent dramas have been blatant in portraying other JWs as "weak" and ultimately the "bad guys." When you actually look at the real JWs in the real KHs, it's easy to see flaws and mistakes that nobody wants their children to copy. If this is pointed out to JWs, they dismiss it saying that they're "imperfect". Ultimately, they aren't that different than what you find outside the KH.

Ha, my hub wants a gift~!
by Angus Beef inhe knows i'm done, he's willing to fade.... out of the blue last night he tells me if i want to buy him a gift, he'd like the bacon bowl maker and the hamburger press (with the hollow center for fillings) so i will be buying him a valentine gift and i'm excited to be able to do it.~.
i'm looking forward to doing lots of things we couldn't do, we may have to secretly do them since we still have family in wt.
my mind is overwhelmed with excitement.... .

Tell him you'll give him the gifts Watchtower-style:
- The free gift of everlasting life has to be earned by years of slavery on the JW treadmill. Similarly, his gifts will arrive only if he gives you expensive jewelry BEFORE Valentine's Day.
- Continue to tell him that his gifts will arrive on Valentine's Day. But when Valentine's Day arrives, just move the goalpost and tell him his gifts will arrive for Father's Day. Continue this forever using each consecutive holiday or birthday. And tell him he must continue giving you expensive jewelry in the meantime.

Brother Morris explained that the Laundry and Dry Cleaning Department, located on the sixth and seventh floors of Building 3, would continue to function there until mid-2014.
If I remember correctly, at least laundry and dry cleaning were used in the factory longer than it was used in the Furman St. building. WT spent tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of dollars to relocate laundry and dry cleaning to the Furman St. building and within about two years the building was sold and all the equipment had to be removed and relocated to the factory.
My guess would be that they'll relocate part of the equipment to one of their remaining Brooklyn properties and sell the rest for pennies on the dollar. Although they might relocate the used equipment to Wallkill if needed, they'll probably insist that all the equipment at the new headquarters be brand new.

"now did he get his expenses paid or did he have to have his own insurance?"
He was a regular bethelite, so they covered the expense of his recovery. He was still in bethel when I left. Not sure what's happened to him since. If he had been a commuter or temporary worker, I don't know how much they would have taken care of.

Lot's of great comments already.
"then elder we t into how 73% of kids cant get jobs after college and it isnt really an education but mostly partying."
I agree with Defianttruth. Tell the dude that you want your children to be able to present convincing evidence to their guidance counsellors that 73% of college graduates can't get jobs and that a college education is mostly partying. The statistic is likely based on something like "73% of college graduates do not get jobs in their field of study." I could easily get a degree in engineering but take a job in management, accounting, or sales. Does that mean that I'm unemployed? Nope. Does that mean that I could have gotten the management, accounting, or sales job with just a high school diploma? Nope. A degree in one area of study easily opens many other doors of opportunity. As far as partying, yes there may be some of that, but does he really think that MDs party for a decade then are given diplomas? Nope.
Interesting that he gave two examples of bethelites that had great careers afterward. I can name two that committed suicide after leaving bethel because they were "laid off" and completely unprepared for life in the real world.
I know several that learned how to be very good welders at bethel. Good for them if that's really what they wanted to do. But I know there was a brother on a welding crew at Bethel that suffered severe burns and after extensive grafts and therapy was reassigned to a different crew because he couldn't do that hard work anymore.

I've got a couple suggested modifications to add to what sd-7 listed for this:
In the years since then, the number of these partakers has progressively decreased, principally because faithful Witnesses of Jehovah finished their earthly life course in death.
How about one of these:
In the years since then, the number of these partakers has progressively decreased, then progressively increased, principally because the faithful anointed have finished their earthly course and the Christian congregation has recently experienced a significant influx of mentally unstable individuals.
As the Last Days wind down to their finish, we can expect that the number of partakers will progressively decrease. Since Jehovah has chosen to pour out his Holy Spirit to anoint an ever increasing Little Flock to numbers not seen since the 1960s, it is reasonable to conclude that the end is now further away than what some Jehovah's Witnesses had led themselves to believe. Are we not indeed happified to now realize our privilege to preach the Good News of the Governing Body could easily extend for another 50 or 60 years? Think of the dozens of lives that might be saved during the final overlapping decades of this never again to be repeated work!

Worst yb experience I have ever heard heartwrenching
by Skinnedsheep inhe sold his bicycle.
malachi, an elder who lives in burundi, earned his living by farming and by transporting loads on his bicycle.
in order to support their kingdom hall construction project, malachi decided to be at the construction site every day.

It's a shame that Jehovah didn't have a bicycle to sell so that he can pay for his own construction projects.
Maybe Jehovah would be able to pay all his own bills if he went out and got a job rather than spent all his time monitoring who is or isn't masturbating.

Have you used dropbox? Have you had any problems?
by ILoveTTATT inthere is a certain user to whom i suggested using dropbox, and the user said he had problems with it, that his computer ended up full of game advertisements.. please, to those who have used dropbox before, can you give your honest evaluation of dropbox?.
i am trying to convince this user that i did not suggest to him something that was bad, but actually good... that it helps to share huge files, no matter what their size.. .
please tell this user... i don't want to lose this user's trust.. .

Yes, I've used dropbox extensively for about a year and a half. I've had no problems with it or gotten any advertisements.
I first used dropbox as an officer in a student organization. Then I used it for sharing huge files with a professor. Most recently and most extensively I used it for sharing files with a group of 7 for our weekly lab reports. We as a group never had problems using dropbox. I'm sure I'll use it again next semester. So far I've only used the allowed free space, so I haven't had to pay anything.
I've used dropbox both from logon at the Internet interface and have the application installed on my PC which keeps a copy of the current dropbox files synchronized in a specified folder on my hard drive. The installed application also would let me know when dropbox files were updated, which was truly a blessing when our lab group was split up working on different sections of the report.

Another year, another increase in the number of partakers.
Seriously, Watchtower, you can't keep ignoring this growth on the side of your head.
